Case Study
The problem
to be studied:
Tamim is a very stubborn student, he plays
a lot with tools that distract him from studying, he destroys the tools and
property of the class, he speaks in a language that is not completely correct,
he is quick to get frustrated and angry, he responds to reinforcement a little
and then goes back to his abusive action again, while punishment is completely
useless and he does not respond to it.
The teacher contacted the student's mother
and told her about the problems she was facing with Tamim in the classroom. The
mother only responded by agreeing that her son was stubborn and difficult to
deal with. The teacher also found that the mother's language was not sound, and
it turned out that she was bilingual.
Usually in public schools, students with
offensive and immoral behavior are not accepted, but the student Tamim is a
Qatari citizen, so his admission to the school is inevitable because he is Qatari[صبحيه1] .
Whether or not admission to the school is based on nationality regardless of
the behavioral aspect of the student is an unfair decision for teachers and
unfair for students.
The teacher referred the student to the
department supervisor, so he behaved well at first, then returned worse than it
was. The psychologist came and took action with him to deter him from the abuse
he was doing and destroying class tools and property. He did not respond
either. He soiled the classroom wall and tore down the paper board attached to
the students' work. The teacher had no choice but to refer him to the social
worker.
The guardian (the father) was contacted,
and it turned out that the student loved his kindergarten in which he was
studying, and he did not accept his transfer from kindergarten to school.
Accordingly, he took the opposite reaction, which included stubbornness, anger,
and refraining from dissolving the book and destroying the school's property.
The father added that he sat with his son and tried to support, strengthen and
praise him for being a good boy and not doing wrong, but the student still
continues with his reprehensible behavior.

Whether or not
admission to the school is based on nationality, regardless of the behavioral
aspect of the student, is a decision that revolves around the Anchoring Trap.
